Pathlight VX Site Preparation Guide 39
After you record the configuration information for virtual media in Table 27, record the corresponding
physical media information in Table 28
on page 40.
•For the Physical Volser Range parameter, specify a subset of the Virtual Volser Range value in
Table 27
, or enter N/A if there is no corresponding physical media.
For the Assigned PVX Pool parameter, valid values are Cleaning, Internal Backup,
Service, Disk Extension, or Application.
For the Assigned PVX Policy parameter, obtain the values from the Sizing Tool. You can define
custom valid values for a specific host; the values can be whatever is helpful, such as
Differential, Incremental, or Full.
•For the Media Access Rule (Media Specific) parameter, the value is intended to indicate whether
a Media Access Rule setting for a specific media ID is different than the Default Media Access Rule
defined for the virtual library. Valid values include N/A, Default Media Access Rule,
Scratch, Direct Access, Virtual, or Unknown.
