Basic and Advanced Operations Performing Basic Operations

Creating a New Virtual Tape Cartridge

If a virtual cartridge has been removed (see “Performing Advanced Operations” on page 70), a

Create New Cartridge icon ( )appears.

1. Click the Create New Cartridge icon ( ). The Create New Virtual Tape Cartridge page

appears (see Figure 33 on page 68).

2. Enter the information in the Create Virtual Tape Cartridge page (see Table 12 on page 69).

3. Click Create.

NOTE: The Create button is not displayed if a virtual tape cartridge is in the virtual drive or vir-

tual loader slots.
